I'm pretty sure HD 7970 in a 2-way crossfire can max out the monitors. I'll need to see some benchmarks to verify this, though.

Shouldn't he get a HD 7990 for $680 AR? It comes with 8 games, and has more performance (Ties with the GTX 690 and beats the GTX TITAN in gaming benchmarks)

I usually avoid dual-GPU cards a a matter of course. They're just too hot and loud, plus you have the usual annoyances of Crossfire/SLI. The 7990 is certainly a MUCH better deal than dual-GPU cards have been in the past, but I think I'd still pass.

Thanks for everyones input, it is highly appreciated. I plan on going with the EVGA GTX 770 SC edition.
- does AMD have a better card?

Do you think this is a good choice? Also I plan on going with an intel I5 4670k is a good choice for a gaming CPU? ( which is what the PC will mainly be used for )

To be specific i'm going with the ASUS GTX 770 DirectCUII, is this card a good price for gaming? Plan on playing battlefield 3, WoW, Planetside 2, Borderlands 2 etc.

 Good point! 2 monitor gaming is pretty much a no go.
So true, I'm working on getting a 3rd Yamakasi/Catleap 27" matte (not glossy) for my video editing/re encoding hobby. :\
Wish these monitors came in thin bezels, or none at all. Not sure if I want to debezel the 2 I have.

I would get MSI GTX 770 Gaming, it's the best noise/cooling ratio along with Gigabyte (which is marginally louder and cooler).

Agree. Don't pay over $400 for a GTX 770. You're just feeding Nvidia and ASUS money at that point.

Hey everyone, I just completed the build and went with an MSI GTX 770 Gaming GPU. So far everything is running perfect and booted up on the first try. Just saying thanks to all those that helped! Once again the Anandtech community puts together an awesome build 😛 ( It turned out to be a monster, literally ) I'm running all my games at Max settings minus AA here and there on a 1080p monitor. The boot-up went perfect with no hitches or anything, the hardest part was installing antec's "tool-less fans" which was a nightmare if i say so myself but they are super silent. ( this PC isn't even whisper loud ) On the other hand to my surprise i'm maxing out DayZ and never thought I would! If anyone wants to play some PC games together like Battlefield 3 send me a message with your Origin/Steam ID and i'll add you! Would be cool to have some new friends to game with on a new PC!
