New Boxee remote on AppStore

I just got an email:

we just launched an iPhone remote app that turns your iPhone/iPod touch into a boxee remote. among other things it makes text input much easier, since you can use the iPhone's full QWERTY keyboard. if you are a boxee user and have an iPhone you should give it a try.

head to http://bit.ly/boxeeremote to get it from the App Store. check out a video review of the app by TapCritic at http://bit.ly/bxrtcreview.

in NYC on March 24th? then you should come to the boxee meetup - http://bit.ly/boxeenyc. we will release a new alpha version during the event and share some concrete plans for the beta.

Check out the review on youtube by TapCritic. It looks really neat. I don't use boxee myself, but I do use Plex and have been hoping that Plex would do a remote like this.

I just tried it out. It's a really cool remote. I still prefer plex to boxee for a few reasons, but this remote really gives boxee an advantage.

Well I can't really get hulu as I'm in Canada and don't want to mess around with proxies constantly. I also don't use boxee as it doesn't scrape my video library (or my music library for that matter) very well at all.

But this remote kicks some serious ass 🙂
