I'm replacing an old Kenmore dishwasher with a new Bosch unit. Does the Bosch require a unique powercord? I'm asking because it is being offered in my shopping cart as an accessory and it is different than the standard powercord I used with the Kenmore.

Should be pretty standard if you're located in the US. White, black, and green.

A quick google search suggests Bosh might use a similar style plug to a computer power supply. Anyway you could give us the make and model of the unit you purchased? With that info we could make sure.

From that photo the plug on one end looks like a perfectly common grounded 15 A male plug for North America. However, the female connector on the other end certainly looks to be a unique configuration to for a socket on the dishwasher. According to the quote from the manual above, that SHOULD have been included with your new unit.

Another reminder to always read the damn manual. ;)
Thank you.
Indeed, I hope your new dishwasher had the power cord included in the box but if it did not check the included manual. While my google fu is good in a case like this it's always a good idea to check the manual or call customer service.:)

Also to consider...was your previous dishwasher connected with a plug...or was it hardwired?
When we were in CA, our dishwashers had plugs...since moving to WA, they've all been hardwired.
