New bookshelf speakers

Had a set of Sony speakers go bust no me last night after moving homes. They were part of a Sony surround set. I don't know the wattage on them, but the Impedence was 6 ohms on the back sticker. The stereo they are gonna be attached to isn't the best it's a Sony as well, can't remember what model it is since I'm at work right now.

I just want a decent, read as inexpensive but sound good, set of speakers that come in a PAIR, not priced individually, preferably make and model so I can see if I can source them locally.

Please don't let me down AT. 🙂

ETA:
This system is used for mainly TV/movie watching with some Pandora thrown in for a little excitement, all coming from a Roku 2.

And that little speaker is on Stereophile's yearly recommended component list and in the same class as Klipsch's Synergy B-20 and the Energy CB-10.

I have a pair of those Pioneers, they sound pretty good. I got them (and a center channel) open box off the shelf at HH Gregg, since they are no longer carrying them. This was about 2 months ago, but I only spent $55 all in.

If you have an HH Gregg in your area, check it out, see if they still have these on the shelf.

Yeh, we had one open here almost a year ago. I check on them here and there to see what they got, but I'll definitely hit them and see what they got on clearance for the holidays.
