New Bond Movie! Spectre

theme song released today.
"writings on the wall"

it's meh

a guy singing in a really high voice.
plus the lyrics... ugg

Man, Casino Royale was really amazing.

I just saw Mission Impossible 5 and it was pretty underwhelming. And I'm not even that excited about this Bond either.

This whole Bourne/Hunt/Bond are all becoming a blur- an elite agent + new chick + unrealistically convoluted villain's scheme + good guy wins.

Casino Royale and Skyfall were great. Skyfall makes Craig my (very close) 2nd favorite Bond.

Skyfall, past Bond movies & possibly Spectre spoiler:
Bond comes off as Batman frankly in Skyfall. Especially when it is revealed his parents died at 11 and he came from a wealthy family (the Skyfall mansion) - explaining his playboyishness - thus casting the Batman light on him.

Also, Skyfall, I think, is the 1st Bond movie where the title refers to Bond himself, instead of some mastermind villain and/or his/her secret weapon. One of the last two Bond films allude to who Bond is; on how MI6 recruits orphans, etc. So this theme of exploring who or what Bond is will continue with Craig.

For Spectre, it was mentioned that the main villain is somehow personally connected to Bond. So, lets see what else is in Bond's past.

Quantum Solace sucked ass as a movie, but no complaints towards Craig.

Specter looks great, lets see what we get. If Spectre rocks face, Connery is getting knocked down to #2.

I don't even count Quantum because it was done during the writer's strike.

Hmmm, let me guess.

The CIA has a list of all US military targets and decided to transport it on a bus through India for unknown reasons, and someone hijacks the bus.

Then the Seal team sent to get it back has second thoughts and they all become Buddhist monks except for one that "isn't quite sure", and eventually that one (Bond) mans' up and get it's back?

I should write for Hollywood.

Lost all faith in anything Bond after Skyfail.

oddsmakers say Tom Hardy (mad max fury road) is the front runner as the next Bond.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Tom cruise or matt damon became Bond

Nope, you'd have to be English/Irish/Scottish/Australian to play James Bond. :whiste:

Too bad Daniel Craig is the worst Bond ever.

its the script.
I didn't like that they gave a background to MoneyPenny. I liked the mythos that had for her for the past decades.
I especially dont like that she was a field agent.

too much like copying mission impossible w/the analyst helping Tom cruise was a former field agent.
