it's as quick as my se-r was and the chassis is a lot better, as is the tactile quality of the materials on the armrest, shift knob, and steering wheel. hell, the stereo doesn't buzz which is good enough in my book.

i really have no idea why i got that se-r.
 
How much horsepower does the 2.3 have? How fast does it do 0-60mph? How fast can you go in 2nd gear? What's the highway MPG like with that motor?

Sounds to me like you got a sweet ride for a sweet deal. 🙂

Which SE-R? Altima or Sentra?

Sentra SE-R Spec V was 175hp in a 2700lb package. Pretty decent acceleration (7.5 to 60, vs. 8.3 for the Mazda3s 5spd), but I'd take the 3's chassis/handling/overall package over the Sentra any day of the week.

Mazda3 is a nice car. C1 platform is a wee bit heavy though.
 
How'd you get such a low interest on a used car? Are dealerships that backed up that they still have 08 inventory for new cars?
