Thanks for looking. And thanks for voting for those of you that did on the coolant color. Sorry i couldnt get a more saturated purple. If i tried i would of lost coolant cooling properties. Once again, Enjoy~ and i will be updating this with a full orthos load.

ahahhaha.. yeah i thought id throw in a little bling for the people that voted. This pic is going up on my sticky, so i let them decide on what color coolant to use. Most likely i'll go back to straight distilled, or 5% penision + Distilled.

about 2C higher in idle, and 9C higher in load. however, bowing does show a big increase, yet its very damaging on your eq.

Nice rig, and I especially paid attention to your E6600 settings, your memory latencies and voltages.

Your memory voltage is at 2.2V, which I suspect is the warranty limit on those modules.

Was the memory voltage critical to your 3.6 Ghz stability? I can get my rig to 3.37 with all voltages set to "Auto." Your VCORE is the same as mine, per your nVidia Monitor readings.

had some problems with stability so i had to crank her up a tad bit...

Heres a final orthos, 1 hour... i doubt my temps would get any higher as they were actually dancing in the 38's b4 i took this picture, and after i took this picture.

Sad thing is i left her on all night, and STUPID WINDOWS UPDATE!! GAH 187 microsoft, rebooted my comp. :T

I like to note if your running a 680i, what i noticed is cool your darn NB. That thing gets so hot, it leads to instability issues. Once i slaped a NB block on her, and gave it a bit more juice, she ran rock solid.

You might want to give your chipsets a new TIM job. Look at how i got mine

i dont think you can get any worse then that in TIM application. :frown:

Anyhow i'll try another go at orthos overnight....

Thanks. Your WC rig is nice. It may make the difference with my "getting to 3.6" on my own with air -- not sure. At 3.4, my air-cooling only shows a load so far at 34C. But I'm not yet using Orthos to do the test, trying to get a handle on a preliminary range of stable settings.

I can imagine bumping up the chipset temperatures and the memory "a tad more" may increase my temps, but I can't imagine my CPu showing 53C.

ahahha, you think thats bad, my MCP is still hovering ~ 42C on a waterblock. :X

MCP is very important in ocing form my tests. The chipset gets too rediculously hot, and even my maze4 has some issues cooling it down.

Then again, i did almost max out its voltage..

AHAHAHAHAHA... thats why i always delete and review my SPlog.txt on your orthos foldier.

Then it tells you where about what caculations it crashed on.

Then you just repeat the caculations where it left off, if its a instability issue, then most likely it will crash on the same test. If it was f'n windows, your autoupdate icon is missing.


I dropped a new board so i did a reformat. EVen tho its the same board, i didnt trust it during windows install.
