New Blaine stunt

The world record for holding your breath under water is over 8 minutes? Holy Crap. I'm lucky if I can do it for over a minute.

Actually, there are reports of ~13 minutes (with pre-breathing 100% oxygen)... that doesn't qualify for the record though.

it's more a test of endurance. I know I couldn't do it.

Count me in, too. Hell, I'd even do it for half of what he's getting.
 
If this is the guy I think he is (the dude from "Street Magician" or something similar), he IS a douche nozzle. He comes across very cocky and insists on doing this levitation trick all the time. Basically the sole of his shoe detaches and he stands up on one foot OOOOooOOOOoohhHHHhh!!

He does do some pretty good cardtricks though, I just don't like his personality.

He's quite a character. I like watching some of his "street magic" shows, several of his tricks are quite unique and impressive.

His online journal comes across as a bit pretentious.
 
I can holy my breath for 1 minute pretty easily, no idea how people do 8-13. I have 2 friends who did a lot of swimming who can hit 2 minutes but that is still not clsoe to 8 minutes.
