New blackberry desktop icon-program

I have a BB with service through Tmobile. Last week I was out of town and during one of the days I looked at the desktop of my BB and found a new program icon on it. It is labeled Enterprise Activation and when selected ahs a filled in pin and ask for email & password. I did not install any such software and my BB is for personal use and has never been linked to any server/server program.Anyone have an idea of what this program is for and can I just delete it?

It is for activating your phone on a BES, Blackberry Enterprise Server. If you do not need it you could delete it or just hide the icon like it was before. It comes installed with all Blackberries.

I've had my phone for about 2 years, icon has been there for about 4 days which I found abit odd.

It was probably always there but just hidden. If you updated the phone OS it can come back, you should be able to hide it again though.

You don't need it. Just hide it, like MB says. Your operator may have updated your service books or something and that may have brought it back. Don't ask, just hide it!
