Some people have reported an increase of proformance. Heres a list of what it fixes.

1. This is the AWARD(r) BIOS version 2.0 release.
2. This BIOS fixes the following problems of the previous version:
-Fixed Usb_Keyboard_Support='enabled' ,screen sometime have garbage.
-Fixed system halt with tekram scsi card.
-Fixed NT 4.0 CD cannot boot from Adaptec 29160 SCSI adapter.
-Set USB keyboard support item ->enable.
-Set USB mouse support item ->enable.

Also on another message board some one talked about a new beta Live Bios updater. I can't confirm it or can I find it.

I tried to update with live bios update also. All it says that it is unable to connect. I guess I try later.

You can try it Here

"AWARD(r) V1.0B14 Special bIOS

2. This BIOS fixes the following problems of the previous version:
-built-in 4-way memory interleave function
-wider range of Vcore selection

3. This BIOS is intended for Power User & Overclockers. User can try it at their own risk."

Not on this earth, thank you vey much. And by the way, that "wider range of v-core selection" what more can offer, since the only improvement with this overclocking method gives me not more than 10%?

I am having the same problem updating to version 2.0 in MSI live BIOS ver1.3.
It retries 4 times and says it cannot be found....I've just sent a e-mail to MSI about it.

I've tested all 3 BIOS (1.0B14, 2.0 and 2.01 beta) using a K7T Pro-2a, and all went well. But since I'm not so fond of all that beta stuff, I'll keep using 2.0. BTW, all those bios are said to be fully compatible with the K7T Pro-2a, as stated on MSI Germany web site.

Also, I've never been able to use Live Bios, so I just use the good old boot disk methode... Seems to be a safer way to update the BIOS...

Go with the traditional way (boot disc-startup from boot disc-update) instead of that "on-line" crap. Live update never worked for me.

If you download the newer 1.3 version of Live BIOS, it will work, but there are problems updating to version 2.0 BIOS as described above. Version 1.9 updates fine.

I updated my Pro2 bios to the dutch 201 and it was successful. However this BIOS is slower on memory performance than the overclocker bios. I tried to flash back to v19, v20, and the o/c'ers bios and now it will not reprogram. It hangs everytime. Looks like I killed it, but it still boots to the OS. Very odd, and this was a bad experience.
