Its a beta bios and all it does is lower temps (if thats a problem, wasnt for me) and lower mem benchs a little. I would wait for the real deal.

There is the beta bios that Epox will send you, then there is the performance bios that only the last couple of review sites got before publishing the articles. Sounds like an Asus move to me. ;)

Where can you get the latest BIOS versions for this motherboard? Amdzone does not like the Epox 8K7A.

The "performance bios" as you call it is the retail one. This one is a little better for overclocking.

I cannot get my board to match the scores at Socket A, they had stated in the original article that they had just received this bios from Epox and could not release it if I remember right. Their scores were an improvement over the the other web site reviews also. I might be wrong but I doubt the bios they received was the shipping one considering the marked improvement in the scores.

Suicidal is right, and also about having similiar benchs.....
Different setups equal different scores. No one on anandtech(amd based board) that I saw can beat my mem benchs(sandra). My scores are way higher than that at socketa.com. BTW, the new bios lowers those benchs REALLY low, like 708/911(?think that was it) at 160FSB.
