New BFG 6800gt has lines/streaks in 3dMark03

Just finished finalizing my system. I'm running the above card on a MSIK8Neo4 SLI mobo, so the card is PCI express. I am not OCing the card, but my 3500 Winchester is OCed on the board to 2400mhz.

I am new to all the bechmarking stuff and don't see any other high end video rigs in my neck of the woods, so I have nothing to compare performance to.

In 3D Mark 03, the card scores a 11906, and blows away the 9800PRO on my DELL (5600 3dMark score), but when running the tests on both PC's side by side, the 6800Gt
often has well defined black shadow-like lines/streaks radiating off the edges of the some main objects in the tests like the planes and the trolls, the turtle and the 3d animal scuplture. I don't get this w/ the 9800 Pro, and I ran this same test on the same NEC lcd1935nxm monitor.

Are these artifacts? and is it worth RMA'ing the card for? Or is this normal, since the scores are obviously high and the fps rate is much higher.

I let 3d mark make the settings:
Resolution: 1024x768
Pixel Processing: None
Texture Filtering: Optimal
Max Anisotropy:4
Vertex Shaders: Optimal

I don't see these lines/streaks when playing WOW or Far Cry.

Your input would REALLY be appreciated!

Yeah its hard to tell without a screenshot.

Could just be that your card is rendering it differently than the 9800.

Have you noticed anything when playing games or anything?

I will say it again (few threads now) LOL, why you using 3d mark 2003, your gpu is dx9c, test with 3d mark 2005 ideally to get accurate reading, to score higher with 3d mark 2003 you could force dx9 on not 9c and same if you ran 3d mark 2001se you could score higher forcing dx8.1 on.

I am not into the benchmarking scoring contest (I don't even know anyone who would have a clue what 3dmark is lol..)

I simply have a copy of 3Dmark to get an idea if my setup is performing close to what I should expect. My last score was 12034, so I think that's high enough for me..

Now for a really stupid question. How do I take a screen shot while in 3dmark?

I ran it again and really this black streaking at times takes up alot of the screen, esp in the end at the Rag Troll test.

Well if 3dmark not got option to capture screen and the PRINT SCREEN button wont capture it, run likes of fraps in background and press F12 i think.

www.fraps.com, dl free one.

Should still be running 3dmark 2005 to test the dx9c

Try underclocking it to see if it goes away. What you describe don't sound like artifacts but I'm not totally sure.
