EDIT: The site is crazy slow right now.

damn...

I was hoping for a 3:4 memory ratio or possibly to fix a possible memoy latency issue I and thugsrook have noticed....

I actually get better memory bandwidth at 140fsb with auto set instead of a 4:5 ratio....With 4:5 ratio at 133fsb I get 2525 but with 140, which is a 5 percent boost in speed the memory scores only increase 0-25...With auto set at 140 I get 2598....I have kingmax 5ns pc2700 ddr cas 2.5t...I leave it at cas 2.5...

I've noticed the same thing. I've boosted my fsb from 140 to 144 and my memory scores stayed exactly the same. I'm going to try "Auto" later tonight to see if that helps.

2.0cas screws up my Samsung 6ns no matter the fsb, so I leave it on 2.5cas too. I was reading at aceshardware it was a flaw of the SIS645 chipset.

EDIT: Sorry, my previous post made no sense.

More memory ratios are number two on my wish list after a 1/5 PCI divider (or better yet, Turbo1). AGP voltage tweak would also be nice. Damn you ASUS. 🙁

Has anyone tried this BIOS yet? I as going to , but after download the file is 1005.001

Do I rename it .awd or .bin?
I dont want to screw my board up!
Thanks!

"Auto" settings didn't help my scores out at all. I guess 4:5 is what I'm stuck with. The new bios doesn't *seem* to address the latency issue.

I haven't tried it yet, but I was reading on google groups that .001 is what denotes beta versions of bios'. I would suppose you just flash the bios like you would any other.

The Asus update app didnt pick up the .001 file..I renamed it .awd and it picked it up, I renamed it .bin and it also picked it up..so Im not sure if it should be one or the other...:0(
