New Benq 1620 DVD drive

I just got a new Benq 1620 drive. I flashed it from G7H9 to B7P9 firmware and installed it in an external USB 2.0 enclosure. After I burned a disk, I wondered if I would get better burn quality if it was an internal drive instead of an external one. Also are there any other advantages to making it internal?

USB2 isn't fast enough to support 16X burning. Burn quality probably won't differ as it's more of the responsiblity of BenQ's (excellent) firmware and media quality.
