And no, i dont speak chinese.

No idea about the validity of the tests - but think that the XL is basically the same card lkike the XT but slightly slower clock/mem speeds.

Seems to confirm the infamous Sasser benchmarks (ehrm..Sassen)..excuse me.

I saw that, and it would be in line with the Sassen benches. Next week we'll have reviews a plenty.

Already been posted and the article was translated, the authors stated that the drivers were pre-release and final drivers would be expected to show a 5-15% improvement. Add 10% to the ATI score that's probably more like it. And you really can't extrapolate 3Dmark scores into game benchmark numbers so how you think this supports Sander's benchmarks is beyond me.

btw. have problems dechiffering the article - used google languageb tools too. Byt why do they say "ATI takes the lead" when the GT is faster ?
Maybe the XT takes the lead...(but calculating how it would perform with a few mhz more) but this is all irrelvant blablah....if those scores are real then its more like "head on head" and the XT/XL MAYBE 10 or so points "faster"...who cares.

ALSO: I think standard 3dm,ark benches are UTTERLY worthless.....because who runs 1024x768 NO AF/NO AA in any game ?

If i see a game which cant run AA on my X850 i dump it....this test is so far from any real world use its not even funny.

A halfway valuable test would be like AT LEAST 1280x1024 4xAA (or 6xAA) full AF...and then test which card has the best performance.

So...what use please has a 3dmark test in low resolution and no IQ settings like AA/AF.....

Is that a benchmark running on the monitor or really the reflection of Mondoshawans testing the rig on the first picture? :)

My question is why was the X1800xl blocked out on the test page . What was blocked out? This is it X1600xt. Ati must be paying big money for all the hype.

NDA most probably (maybe not), just like they did on the R520 chip, where they blurred the R520 bit written on the chip.

And stop saying its the X1600 XT. According to AT, the X1600XT is a 256mb 128bit, 12pp 600/1400 card. Your saying that it equals to that of a 7800 GT which is a 256mb 256bit, 20pp 400/1000?

They need the hype, many have lost faith in ATI due to delays and failures e.g Xfire in most people's eyes.

Here is a link same sight but you can plainly see what card is being tested. NDA applies here also.

Where would you have me place the next gen. of ATI med range cards below the X850xt pe ? I don't think so. I think I got it right. Since the X850xtpe scores 6500 I think I got it right were it belongs. no cookie for you
