Hey I thought we disspelled that myth...It makes no difference malay, costa rica or phillipines...cause they were not fabbed there, period...They are just packaged or assembled into the heat speader casing we see them in.....


All that needs to be known is the packing date and the revision number....forget geography ppl...intel doesn't send lower performing chips to specific countries...

I did not say that my chip is performing better or worst that the other chips packaged in the other coutries.....

And according to this post over at overclokers forum, this kind of packaging is very rare see here

I wasn't being rude...just wanted to avoid the misinformation that many get and have gotten by the geographical marking on the chip....I want to avoid the type of misinformation that is wild on the net...So wild that some sites were charging more for a particular chip from a particular region.

If you had a new packing format you should of stated that, but you didn't....

The revision that I and many of the 2.6 and above club have gotten is the 003 at end of product code....


I will be watching for you...😉
 
Like I said before, I didnt say nothing about the performance of the chip
And the fact that it came from third packaging place (yes I know, I know GEOGRAPHY)
may indicate a new packaging, or the revision, but I wasnt sure about that, that is why I posted that information in a first place.....
And I do not have any questions.... Just tried to post some information, but I guess that didnt work out......

Now that was some important info!!! look at the 004 in the version many of us that have packing from march to may have 003 on ours....so I wonder if a lot of these 004's are june apcking dates
