New barracudas 7200.8 - sniff :-(

Oh well, I wanted to kick out my PATA setup and get the new 7000.8 with TCQ and SATA-2.

But they just appeared and while the SATA is not there yet, the PATA 400GB is supposed to be $343 + shipping. That's a little harsh to get 3 of them, and SATA will probably be worse. The 300 gig will be $219.

I guess I put it off until all equipment is SATA-2 ready. Sigh.

Plus it might not be smart to get some of the first 10 ever produced 🙂
