new balance 2001's worth the premuim?

i dont do a whole lot of running (10-15 miles a week) but want to take it up a notch

(20-30 miles)

just want to ask if anyone has these and would recommend them

i currently have a pair of nike's that i paid $60 but they are getting old and starting to make my feet hurt
and they were never great in the first place in terms of comfort

i dont mind paying extra if the really are better than their 991's or their other shoes

and $140 isn't a whole lot of cash to me but i dont want to pay more for nothing

Have you tried going to runner's store and see what they recommended for long distance running?

go to a store and have them measure your feet and recommend a shoe that will work best for your foot style / training.

rossman: i know see thread summary

richardycc: nothing special about them but if they are more comfortable and let me run longer than other shoes i would definitely pay the premium to me this is far less frivalous that a 6800 GT or some other extravagances

these are high quality and made in the USA


im sure you don't own an expensive computer equipment and shop at KMart for all your clothes
