Been waiting and waiting...
Finally, the twins were born today (not named yet). A boy and a girl.
The little boy
The little girl (doeling)

We're going to keep the female, but sell the male. I believe my wife already has a couple people on the waiting list for a male.

edit: here's the miniaturecow
She looks more like one now that she's a bit older and has put on a few pounds. (lmao, because someone is inevitably going to spread rumors across the internet that there are 2 foot tall cows)

Nope, these goats won't be eaten. I've thought about also raising meat goats, but these ones are bred specifically as pets. (and, purebred, registered, with papers, etc., are worth a bit more than a meat goat would be worth)

What type of goats are they? My husband wants mini mancha goats (la manchas crossed with nigerian dwarves)

:p Pun wasn't intended.
Kid safe as in we have a lot of people who bring their kids over to see the animals. It's like a zoo around here sometimes. (Although, no more turkey :( and no more pig - pig just went to the butcher Fri, pork will be back next Monday)

We purchased two nubian goats last summer for milk... the female should be old enough to breed by this summer. If all goes well (making cheese, goat's milk soap, etc.), then we'll add on 5 or 6 more nubian females. If it's a pita, then we will have 2 nubian goats for sale. :p Tonight, the female nubian was a handful. super-friendly and hyper, plus doing a lot of attention seeking.

Nubians are noisy. :) Fainting goats are quite nice, from what I've seen. Congrats on your new babies!
