Meh, looks less appealing with each trailer they release. Cast looks pretty horrible too.

Looks like a rental for me.

Looks decent, I'll probably end up seeing it. However this is ATOT, so I expect most replies to talk about how bad the movie looks and/or how it wont be worth seeing while pontificating about Hollywood in general.

well,it kinda looks cartoonish ..to be frank, James Cameron is the main reason i`m interested.

Looks like FernGully 2010. Save the rainforests + mecha action.

I like James Cameron but I'm afraid this looks like a rental. Too much synthetic looking CG that makes any live-action additions appear out of place.

saw the preview before the cowboys game sunday. that was the first i heard of it. i know nothing about the story, but it certainly looks interesting. i'm a sucker for action packed sci-fi.

This will get my money, i'll probably try to catch it in Imax. Looks like one of those things my home theater wouldn't do justice for.

The story isn't particularly compelling and seems heavyhanded in the trailers, but I'm down to see some good action.

No trailer has yet done justice to the CG advancements Cameron and Weta Digital made for this.

Spielberg is using the tools for his next movie.

I'm thinking this will be kind of like Doom 3. Cool technology, but packed in a pretty unentertaining way. It sucks because I first heard about Avatar waaaaay back around the time when he released T2 or a couple years later, but definitely before Titanic. With the scant amount of info I'd heard, it sounded awesome. But to see bug-eyed cartoony looking people flopping around a forest or whatever, why not just watch a Pixar film? *sigh*.

Pocahontas 2009

This.

The extended preview indicates that a small group of humans will end up allying with the natives, contrary to my earlier hopes. I just feel like I've seen this theme too many times before and I don't care to see it again. Initially I was hoping that the paralyzed marine would end up obeying orders rather than going native. Now all I can hope for is a "twist" ending where the renegades and natives are wiped out or enslaved and the "evil" guys win.
