I saw this at Microcenter in Houston yesterday. They had a whole stack of boxes, along with the 27" ones. It has an audio input so I guess that means it has speakers?? The brightness is 400cdm2, vs the 27" with its 350cdm2. The stranges thing I think is the CFL backlight but it may yield better color than LED.

Seriously, no one cares about this? It's a glossy 24" IPS monitor with CFL... the only one of its kind right now.

Can't get excited until I learn of its input lag and see a review by a good review site. I usually prefer CFL to LED's. LED is only good at the very high end with a full array and/or full spectrum LED's.

I'll buy one and review it if everybody on this forum chips in and pays for it!

Not bad

I called the Mayfield OH Microcenter but they don't have any and could not find it in their system and it's not on the webstore, I wonder if this is Houston only...

I'd like to see one in person, $300 seems pretty reasonable considering the specs.

I just picked up one of these at the Cambridge, MA store. $179.99. Last one.

Seems pretty decent. Hard to find 1920x1200 LCDs these days.

It was a replacement for a 26" KDS 1920x1200 TN LCD that died suddenly. (Went "pop".)

At $179 it sounds pretty darn interesting. At $300 what's better about this versus say a Dell 24" IPS?

Strangely, this monitor started smelling like hot electronics, a not too pleasant smell, tonight. Purchased it on the 15th. It still works, and displays a picture, but I'm returning it as soon as possible. Don't want it starting a fire in my apt.

Interestingly, the same wall outlet is what killed my previous 26" KDS LCD.

Only, that time, I just had the monitor and computer plugged into a surge strip.

This time, different computer, different video card, same HDMI cable, and now plugged into a CyberPower 550VA / 330W UPS, also purchased from MC.
