90 degree V6? is it built off a V8?

See op...they switched to a Turbo V6...

right, but 60 degree is what you'd expect a V6 to be if it was designed from the ground up as a 6. 90 degree makes it sounds like they built it off a V8.

Don't Mercedes use ground up 90 degree V6s, albeit designed to be built on the same plant as the V8s?

Also, I6 FTW 🙁

I6's are almost extinct. V6's can be packaged better since they're more cube like.

Audi already has released a Bi-turbo V6, buy a B5 if you want one.

The block can handle 500 hp like nothing, its pretty solid, cast iron I believe.

Stock K03's sucked reliability wise however, car should of came with K04's stock.

Try telling BMW that.

Thanks Fenixgoon - I think I may have found my wife's next car. A big upgrade from a '02 NEON. . . .

The interior looks cheap and basic.

Audi makes the best interiors in the industry. Your post is screaming of BMW fanboyness

I think his post shares the opinion of many, Audi interior is what turned me away. Feels plastic, disconnected and overall ... Americanized.

What the difference between the S4 and A4? What is the Avant?

Avant = wagon version.

A4 = standard model.

S4 = sport model (bigger engine, brakes, better suspension, more aggressive styling, etc.)

RS4 = super sport model - the biggest, baddest, fastest, A4 Audi makes.

Performance wise compared to BMW:

A4=328
S4=335
RS4=M3

Price wise, I imagine the new S4 will be a bit more than a 335 based on the current model prices.

Am I not allowed an opinion?

If that's your honest opinion, then thats fine. but Ive heard many BMW drivers dismiss Audi interiors just because they dont want to admit Audi makes damn fine interiors.

And your post is unbiased and not at all Audi 'fanboyness'. Gimme a break. :roll:

I'm not a fanboy at all. Yes I drive a VAG car (GTI) but I actually love the way bimmers look and feel and would love to own one someday. BMW makes awesome interiors also, but Audi's is better IMO. BMWs drive better than Audis, but IMO Audis look and feel nicer inside

What exactly does this have to do with the S4? Must suck having your car if you drag yourself into here just to post that.

Personally I think the S4 is going to be an astounding car with all the technology Audi is throwing into it. Plus, I don't see the 335i keeping up with this car on a track. There are some track times were the new A4 is keeping up with the 335i. Can't wait for the release next year.

I don't know... within my family, we've always have Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, even Acura but never an Audi. There must be some sort of bias there somewhere or having to do with some sort of fanboyism, that must be it.

:roll:

Calm down, matey. You're embarrassing yourself.

RE: 'What exactly does this have to do with the S4?' - What do you think, are you stupid? We're discussing the interior of the 'S4/A4'. 😕
