New ATI DVD Software up for Download, ver. 5.0

If you don't have the cd It will not install. You will have to find a copy of the cd before you will be able to install the upgrade

It works great so far. I noticed that with my Tbird 850 CPU usage is about 20% with the ATI DVD player and about 25% with Media Player 8, not too bad.

I've got the same problem as oslama, I have a 7500 but can't for the life of me find my ATi CD 🙁. If anyone can set me up with an ISO of the CD or a place that I can download it can they please PM me?
thanks

So does this mean stutter-free playback in XP finally? Also, I'm curious to see if anyone has the Lite-On DVD-163 for a player and tried it with this. Anyone? Bueller?

I've found the CPU utilization to be excellent and the interface to be much more modern looking than the old ones... but PowerDVD 4.0 is still way way better in terms of picture quality.

Thanks for the link Jace, just d/l'ed it and I like it better than the previous version 'cause it uses less resources, again, thanks.

dont think so.
the one with mmc 7.5 is newer, i think it's ver 7.0.
this 5.0 version is the one that came with radeon 8500 retail box.

SendTrash, even if someone here gave you the ID number off the CD, you would still need the ATI CD, as that is the next step in the installation, sorry I couldn'd give you better news.
