New ATI Catalyst 4.5's out

They installed just fine for me... Although on the first run of the install program it hung while installing the control panel.

I was just updating my ATI drivers everytime a new release was out, but stopped doing that around the 4.0 release. I started running the 3.5s for a while, then the 4.4s for a month or two.. and now using the 4.5s

I HAVE HAD No problems either

Funny that I have never encountered any problems with all the catalyst revisions while they are exploding on others' systems 🙂

Gonna try this once the Omega drivers are out.

Replaced 4.4 with 4.5. Everything works as advertised - no problems before and none after with 9700Pro and XP SP2 (RC1).

Sheesh! Now I gotta clone my drive. 🙂

?????? 😕 .Update on my 4.5 driver install,no problems to report ,all the games I`ve tried work fine, rock stable as usual so another boring report by me 😉.

me too, hung during install first try? working fine now!

Ever since the 4.4 drivers, I've been having a problem where open windows get corrupted and display black textures after having the computer on for about a day and a half or so. Same thing with the 4.5 drivers.

The 4.3's don't exhibit this problem

Also dragging a second smaller window within a larger window gives me lockup and infinite loop. This is with 4.4, 4.5 also. 4.3 works fine.

I have never had a problem with using add/remove. Uninstall ATI Drivers > do not restart > uninstall ATI control panel > do not restart > uninstall the ATI Software Uninstall Utility > restart > install new drivers
