Just got my new system together and am pretty immpressed so far...

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ w/SLK-800A and Artic Silver Ceramique (AQXEA week 27)
Abit NF7-S v. 2.0
512MB OCZ Platinum Dual Channel PC3200 (2 x 256) (2-2-3-5)
Saphire 9800 (Flashed using the 9800 Pro BIOS)
Western Digital 1200JD 120GB SATA Drive

I'm sitting at 2.25GHZ with only a minor increase in voltage, but I believe that is due to the problems with this mortherboard undervolting like crazy...I had it running at defualt voltage, but was watching it in MBM5 and it was sitting at 1.6-1.616V...nowhere near 1.65V...so I upped it to 1.675 and it is working like a pro...18 hours of prime and 18 hours of Memtest so far. I'm hoping for somewhere in between 2.4 and 2.5GHZ...but I have a few questions...

1. I can raise the chipset voltage to 1.7V, should I do this?
2. How far should I raise my processor voltage?
3. I have heard that moving the memory timings from say, 2-2-3-5 to 2-2-3-11 will increase memory scores...is this true?

That's all I can think of for now...thanks!

Yes, while most boards defualt @ 1.6v, 1.7 will be well within acceptable range.

Nice overclock so far, that Barton most likely has 2.3-2.4ghz @ 1.75V, 1.8 is safe but some like not to push that... 1.85 is a bad choice if you want LONG term longevity...

There are a few threads about that, there is some performance increase, but really very negligible.

Yikes, i forgot..

If you are pumping that fronst side bus up, run a 2.8v Vdimm. Perfectly safe and can prevent a a good bit of stabiliy issues.
