this is a 1gb kit of pc3200 mushkin lvl 1 memory on an albatron via k8t800 motherboard. cpu-z says its running at 2-3-2-6-12-16, when its rated at 2-3-2. the first 4 numbers look about right, whats up with those other two?

All memory is that way.. The first 3 numbers count the most.. the fourth is somewhat important.

Those last 2 numbers are almost never even given as a specification... I've never seen them in any description or spec sheet or anything else. Your Athlon-64 doesn't have memory troubles :)

i'm thinking of upgrading to the Athlon 64 3000+.
How's the performance of yours?
I've got a P4 2.4C 800fsb cpu right now with dual channel ram.
I wonder if i'd 'see' the difference with an athlon 64.

People say A64's feel more snappy, even upgrading from a decent Athlon XP system, which people seem to say feels more snappy than P4 systems. That'll probably be my next upgrade, so if/when I upgrade, you can bet I'll do some extensive testing :D
