Reading over this forum got me interested in overclocking so by tickering, I got my 433 to run at 488 MHz. This was done by setting my clock speed to 75. When I set it to 83, I was able to get 541MHz but it was unstable. Also, my frequency ratio has always, for the life of the computer, been set to 8x. Seems high to me but, works.

Anyway can I squueze out some more juice? I have a puller type fan on the heatsink and have 3 other fans in my case pulling air in the front and pushing air out the back. Iwould appreciate it. Thanks.

Could be a cooling issue or maybe you need to bump the core voltage a little. Another thing to keep in mind is that at 541 your PCI bus is overclocked to 41.5 which may be too high for any peripherals you've got i.e. hard drive, sound card, PCI video card, etc. Your processor multiplier is locked at 6.5 regardless of what setting your bios may show.

The 433 is not known as a good overclocker like the old 366 which would hit 550 more often than not (5.5x100).

Have fun.

How do I bump the core voltage a little? Should I even mess with the frequency multiplier since it is set as you say?

changing your multiplier doesn't do anything, so don't bother. somewhere in our bios should be a setting to allow you to change your vcore level. don't increase it too much. also, make sure you have adequate cooling before you mess with it too much. cheers.
