The XG438Q, XG49VQ, and XG32VQR are all large gaming monitors based around VA LCD panels that support AMD's Radeon Freesync 2 HDR standard.

49" 4k 144hz
no prices for now. gordon of pcworld thinks it might be using auoptronics panel. FALD backlight with fairly wide viewing angles.

looks like asus costcut some corners from the XG438Q demo version. the upsidedown panel/BGR sub pixel and FALD backlight kinda spoil it.

level 1 techs review.
the bgr issue is fixable with a windows wizard setup or registry edit(or a vesa mount with it upsidedown). some issues with nvidia cards and "gsync compatible" on cheap dp 1.4 cables, tho the 5700xt freesync at 45-100 hz works fine with the included cable. some extra frills could be cut to lower the price. he has the operation ranges for res/color depth/freq around the middle. the response time and input lag stuff at the early to middle covers some interesting behavior.

Wendel seems to hold it in high regard for productivity, much better quality than the 4k 40" korean ebay specials he has reviewed.
