New Asus P5KC versus Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R

I'm undecided which board to go for but will be buying one in July. I like the fact that both boards support DDR2 & DDR3 memory and 45nm technology. I only have 1 gfx card so crossfire is not important for me. Prices for both boards are almost the same. Advice appreciated

Asus P5KC :

Pros. More features than Gigabyte, ie Heatpipe Cooling, Crossfire, Firewire IEEE 1394a, USB-2 x12.
Cons. It's a new board so performance unknown, some say compatibility issues with certain C2D's, may need new BIOS, Gigabyte has better Southbridge.

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R:

Pros. Has solid caps & other "built to last features", better ICH9-R Southbridge, Gigabyte board has been tried & tested on many review sites, performance is close to the GA-P35-DQ6 which is a lot more money.
Cons. Standard cooling, No crossfire, No Firewire, USB-2 x10.

if you need the i/o ports, then go with the asus. i personally love the amibios that asus uses so i go for them.

though the gigabyte is no slouch either. go with the gigabyte in this case.
