Just noticed at the Asus German web site a new beta BIOS is out of the CUSL2 series of boards. I know from experience that these BIOSs are causing certain strange problems with my system. The 003 seems fairly stable but AGP 4X goes to 2X above 900 MHz, for what difference it makes. With the previous beta I could not get my system to boot with PC133 memory at the 133 memory setting. It would with the 003 BIOS. Also seem to get some flakiness with the USB ports. Sometimes they work at boot and sometimes not. Always continue to work after booting or hot plugging the device. They also seem to reset occasionally during use and the device needs to be unplugged/plugged to get it working again. I don't know if this is my particular board, the BIOS, or what. In my mind I should not have any of these problems and am considering whether I should return it for flakiness? Any one else with similar problems. I also get spontaneous reboots of Win2K with the system and haven't figured that out yet either. Let me know.
