Hot off the heels of our trouncing of BBR and HP, I thought it best to celebrate by adding a bunch of new PCs!!

Ok, here's what we've got:

1. 7 New HT P4 2.8 that should do about 14WUs/day each. (Online in about a week)
2. 1 New HT P4 2.8 that should do about 14 WUs/day (Online in about 2 weeks)
3. 20 P3 500-933s doing an average of 3-4 WUs/day each (Returning to production in about 1 week after having some much needed R&R)
4. 1 Old P42.6 returning doing about 8 WUs/day

and...

Last but definitely not least....

1 Dual HT Xeon 2.4 coming online in about 3 hours!!! How many WUs will that thing put out??

Cheers,
Pie

awesome! but right now we're down by about 100 WU's....get that Dualie going 🙂

My 2.8GHz Xeon does roughly 20/day with 4 processes running *checks the SetiSpy log to be sure*..yeah, that's about right.

Where are you seeing us down at ?

Team Anandtech 8429210 3172 7074.627
BBR Team Starfire 8423924 3075 7856.436
Difference: TA: 5286 wu's TA: 97 members BBR: 781.809 years
Difference to HP: -2581 wu's
looks to me like we are up on both of them

Umm... I'm buying them just for SETI 😛

No, I wish!! They are employee workstations. And the duallie is a departmental server.

All for the network that I administer

another Pie sighting! this is becoming a regular occurance.
and he brings good news aswell. what a splendind TeAmmate!

thats another 200wu's or so a day! you will be pushing almost 600 a day.

Dual XEON is up and running with 4 processes.

Just a quick question though, do I check the "Set Processor Affinity" box in SETI Driver?

Cheers

Pie, I haven't, but I'd be interested to see what others think as well. If I can get more WUs out of my 2.8's, I'd be happy to make a change.

Well, my team has taken a 9k hit, so that means someone came from there to here 🙂 Got an email stating as such, too. Now I just have to figure out which one it was hehe (I'm so bad about remembering things sometimes).

EDIT: Smillie was one of mine..I figured it out 🙂 Ah, and so was PoloMaster 😀

results @2cpu.com seem to indicate that you should not. It makes no big difference though.

Affinity checked= each processor handles its own WU
Affinity not checked= WUs/ different calculations are swapped between procs.

I didn't see any difference with my HT P4 3,4Ghz...

Thanks for the tips DaFinn and Ronin.

I will turn off "Set processor affinity" in that case.

Will keep on assimilating though!
