Hello all,

I just thought I'd share my good fortune. A friend of mine works at a church and does the computer stuff there. Yesterday he got SETI on one of the P4's. I'm not sure what speed it is, but it's average time is 4:39 and it's on 24/7. The best part is he says there are at least 3 others of the same kind he can put it on when he has time😀

More WUs for the team! And this should help me advance from my seemingly perpetual position around 97th or 98th place🙂

Ack! and I lost a PIII 450! Going to have to get an assimilation too if I don't want you to pass me in the race 🙂

Well I just assimilated an K6-2 475! (Thank you ohtwell 😉) That will get me 1 wu per day! So stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

You sure it will do a WU in a day? I always thought it was more like 2 days for K6-2's. I have a 450Mhz one sitting around but SETI's not one it. 1) It's linux, so I'm not sure I know how. 2) It's be really slow. 3) It's on maybe an hour per day.
 
I think that sounds right. My P200 does on in 1 day 18 hours (yes I am bringing out the big guns 😛).

You say you have a computer not running seti? Don't worry about it... the K6-2 won't do enough for you to catch up 😛

If it does indeed take 30hours to do a WU on that thing, and I only run it 1 hour per day, I would be doing a whole 1 WU per month🙂

Btw if you lower the mulitplier on that K6-2 (they're not locked) & raise the FSB you'll cut the times down noticeable🙂
Inccidently did you see my output in the lastest weekly stats?😉

Yes I did! I am not going to catch up if you keep doing those numbers! I am dedicating this semester to assimilations! I know of a place where I can get 2 more I think... The problem is that it will cost
me to put it on those machines 🙂

Don't worry ,I won't be maintaining that output unfortunatly ,a work mate ran his 3PC's 24/7 for me whilst he was on holiday for 1.5 weeks.He's back today so it'll be back down to occasional output
