Nice board. Too bad about the ugly GOLD capacitors. Hopefully they won't carry that over the next gen Intel chipsets.

It's not up to Asrock what color they are. Gold denotes that they are premium caps. It's the manufacturer's way of differentiating their product.

Sure it is, they are the designers of the motherboard. Either way, in my eyes it's ugly but others may think it's cool looking....?

I've got the p67 extreme 6, and I love the color scheme. Granted I only see it when I open the PC up for upgrades ETC, but I plan on having it at least another 2 years or so, its a rock stable beautifully set-up board!

Asrock are good boards. They are ASUS budget side but still perform with the best of them. High Quality components and stamp of ASUS. Their literally making this at ASUS camps.. labs from what I hear. So if ASUS is making them, they are budget but you can be asure you have a solid motherboard compatibility and problem free.

I have been impressed with the value that a lot of ASRock boards are giving today. I would like to use a couple in some builds.

It looks like Asrock removed the internal floppy connector on this version of the Extreme 6. I scratched my head when the original x6 came out and saw that...who the hell uses floppy drives these days!?
