I almost wanna hug somebody after one of those or something. What happened to helicopters and giant battleships and cool panes of glass with a glowing green radar in it (and a guy with a little flashlight on his ear is always pointing at it) and stuff? Maybe it's just me.. 😛
 
I think the marketing dirction the US Army has taken is pretty dumb. This entire "Army of One" has to be somewhat of a failure. I can see why the emotional stuff may appeal to some, but I do agree they need some of the more hard core army type stereotype commercials as well.
 
They are aiming at the 18-30 age group, and that age group grew up with videogames and computers. They realize this and market accordingly.
