Looks better than most of the designs that were proposed on that other site a while back.

they should make the new building in the shape of a tree, expanding a the top with offices as branches. That be pretty damn cool

The Cathedra de Sagrada Familia in barcelona was designed by gaudi, as was much of their architecture. it's some amazing stuff. check it out:

i dont know that would look in NYC as a skyscraper. the pic looks cool, kind of rocket-ship-ish. but i think most people would rather the traditional building. Gaudi had some wonderful and eccletic designs, but i dont think their appropriate for this setting.

All the designs suck. I don't see why there even has to be a costly public referendum on this. Whoever owns the site should just build whatever they want, and that should be the end of it.

meh, I didn't like Gaudi's architecture much. It was kind of modern art, yeah, but not something that should be put to replace such a landmark.

What? [just asking mode] This would be the epitome of a landmark, wouldn't it?[/just asking mode] :)
