New Apple iMac G5 is completely user upgradable!

Well, that's a big surprise to me...

iMac G5 parts you can install yourself

AirPort Extreme Card
Memory - DDR 400 MHz (PC3200) SDRAM
Hard drive
Optical drive
Power supply
LCD display
Modem card
Mid-plane assembly (contains the main logic board, the G5 processor, fans, and so forth).

I see no mention of the GPU though.

I haven't see the inside of one yet but I assumed the GPU was onboard. It's a shame to pair the G5 with a FX5200. Although it was probably selected for it's thermal properties more than it's performance.

LCD display upgrade options should be interesting, i hope to god they arnt using a 25ms lcd, i havnt been able to find specs on that yet.

if it has onboard 5200 then upgrading the G5 and mobo that should be upgrading the 5200 too 😕 right?
