New Antec Cases @ CES

there arent really major differences. I think they dropped the spoiler. added a 200mm fan? added a dual psu with it. and thats about it.
 
Wonder if they'll put a dust filter on the 200mm, IMO one of the better features on the p180 was the dust filters on the front.

how? it has 2 140mm fans at top, instead of 1 120mm fan.

And all they really did with it is streched the p180 sideways, and side mount the psu's instead of floor mounting it.

If anything id be worried for one of the PSU's because if it sucks air from the bottom, your gonna have one almost completely block that intake.

But it has more fans that are Bigger at lower Rpms and higher CMF. I dont think there would be that great of a difference from its former.
 
Sorry for being a sh!t about this, but who cares about the new, so called, Antec case @ CES? Let's chrome-plate it... Amerikans like shiney stuff, if nothing else!

Let's see...the P190 is one big and probably heavy mofo. The P182 should not be produced because the bling is getting too far from the usual clean simplicity of Antec. The Sonata 3 can be a proper case IMO. I've yet to see how the power supply performs though (who makes the Antec EarthWatts anyway?).

Well, that 200m fan on the side will sure let out a lot of noise where the 180 didn't. 2 top blow-holes instead of one, no one will use them just like no one uses the blow-hole on the 180. Only good thing I see about the case is the stretching giving you more room in the MB area, and the cable management cut-outs in the back.
 
Anyone know when the P182 (the regular one, not the mirrored "protoype" one) and P190 should hit the shelves? I'll wait for these if they won't take too long.

Is the P190 only going to be sold with the dual PS included? A bigger version of the P180, with more cooling (and without the 900's quirks) interests me a lot, but I'd rather not pay for a fancy 1000W dual PS setup I don't need.

 
The only way I'd even think about moving from the 180 to the 190 is if you could get a version without the PS and if antec made available side panels that didn't have that fan on it. Maybe the 190 is the same as the 180 in that both side panels are interchangeable. Then you'd just need an extra right panel.
 
Anyone else here notice the better cable management of the P182? I think they have noticed pictures on the forums of how everyone likes to run cables behind the MB tray.

The side fan scares me for the noise ... not the noise of the fan but the other system noise it lets out.

We'll see what price point they hit at ... and if they will include the power supplies or not.

Anyone else curious what price Sonata III will land at? For a basic system it could be nice an quiet.
 
Is the P182 going to have a side fan? I don't think so.

Did you read that the room for cable management is accomplished by moving the MB tray in but the width of the case is the same.

What will that do to the big HSF like the Ninja, will it fit? Wait and see I guess!
 
I hear Enermax was showing off their Chakra II case at CES as well. I hope they made them a little wider so you can fit a Tuniq or Scythe hsf in them.
 
the pics of the P190..do not really show that is any largere than a P180 but supposedly it is longer...

I really wish they would add 2in to the height, length and width for us WCers

Eh, the Ninja fits in the P180 as it is. I've got one in my case right now, actually.

It honestly looks like there's more room between the MB and drive cages at least. A better way to tell is to look at the bottom chamber and see the extra room between the PSU and the center piece where the fan mount is.
