hmmm chieftech's are back at newegg..... wonder why they were'nt stocking these cases for most of the summer/fall

how does the 1080AMG differ from the PLUS1080B ?

and can use the from USB connection for usb 2.0, or is it only 1.1?

The usb ports are probably v. 1.1 and I think the AMG and the B at the end of 1080 just means what style the case is.

I just prove to myself that this is the cheapest price you can get NORMALLY (exclude those cases with stupid CSR forgot to charge shipping or whatsoever).

if you do it with AMEX PM,
144.99-30=114.99+tax= 124.20 paid to staples.
minus the difference 114.99-97 = 18 get back from AMEX you will be paying 106.20.

Of coz by doing PM with staples now I can PM with AMEX farther more in the further... And of coz hope for a stupid CSR forgot to put in account that I have a 30coupon from Staples...

I also got in on this. They PM to 121.55 and credited my card for 27.91. Not exactly sure how they got 27.91 but great deal! Came out to ~$92 with $30 coupon, $5 business rewards, and tax included.

Hopefully this is a quiet case. I am a bit of a noise freak :)

EDIT: OK I am a little slow: 144.99 - 121.55 = 23.44 * 110% * 1.0825 tax = 27.91

the only thing i see thats different is the side blow hole and an air filter in the front... unless the front face plate is metal now too?

So, I think I would help you out this time.
Just call 1-800-3STAPLE and press "1" for ordering.
Tell the CSR that you would like to purchase a computer case with item number IM1372076.
He will ask for your customer number. If you don't have one, you will need to give him some information about you (name, address, phone number, etc)
Then he will tell you it's $144.99, and you tell him that you would like to pricematch to techsavings.com's $95 + $24.55 shipping = 119.55 (Damn it was $97 when I ordered)
He will then go look for the web site, and after that, he will do a little math for you.
144.99 - (144.99 - 119.55) * 1.1 = 117.01.
Now tell him that you would like to use a coupon : XXXXX.
Final price is 117.01 - 30 = 87.01 + tax.

Didn't check this thread for a while. mralex congrat on your PM... I didn't get the extra 10%! Every little bit helps... I got the case couple days ago, I just have to say it is one of the most well done case I have owned... Too bad it is not aluminum, so it is pretty heavy. I put a color LED fan to the side blowhole, so it is very colorful right now. Well too bad no window... With 2 bad things, but sub100- for a Authentic Antec case with TruPower 430W makes it worthwhile. Now the case has a lot less noise, but my CPU fan is very old... Anyone know any sub10 CPU fan that is quiet? I have a old old Duron700->900 that I will be upgrading when SerialATA hits the market, but my gf complains about my computer being loud even after I change my case. -10 will be nice, since a brandnew Duron doesn't cost even 40 now.

Hm... staples took off 2 of the Antec cases from their already short listing. argh... guess we'll have to dig for those Imgram numbers.

my total came to $92.74 after the pricematch, coupon, & tax:cool:

the CSR I talked to was really nice, and the order took around 5mins (it probably took 3mins for the CSR to verify the price at techsavings.com)

The 'B' stands for Black. So a case designated just 'PLUS1080', would be beige. And as Grimp already mentioned, "AMG just means Antec Metallic Gray."
