Everybody prefers the older because they are just use to it. But I like the added links. Before we had to search for Displays.

One thing that needs to be done to the design or cosmetics is the lower tier of nav links need to match the banner background. It makes the tab link illusion fade.

New isn't always necessarily better. The site crams soo much info onto one page, it looks like Tom's Hardware site. And it seems like they did it just in a effort to get more ad space on the main page. If anything, now the main page is less accessible.
