Hey,

I'm planning on throwing together a new system in about a month with the following specs:

Motherboard: EPoX 8KHA+ VIA KT266A
CPU: Athlon XP 1900+ OEM
Video: Geforce 4 Ti 4400
RAM: 512MB PC-2100

I recently read that the EPoX 8KHA+ has problems with fitting in a GF4 4600, and i'm worried it'll be the same for the 4400.
Which other KT266A motherboard do u guys recommend? As well, how big is the performance difference between the XP 1900 and 1800?
Is is worth the $75 price difference?

Thanks!

I would checkout The Shuttle AK31GR mobo...excellent stability for me but now I am switching over to the gigabyte GA-7VRXP mobo

In Regard to CPU Speed I doubt you would notice a difference

Ti4400 is not a problem. Besides, Epox has published a list of "known to fit" 4600's, there are plenty of good cards on there (Gainward, etc.).

1800+ = 1.53 GHz
1900+ = 1.60 GHz
Performance increase = negligible

A 75$ difference for 100 mhz is definitely not worth it. Stick with the 1800
