New AMD XP 1600+

How do you like the new processor AMD XP1600+?

Do you recommand it to me?

I got mine last week and it runs great. A lot faster than my 800Mhz Athlon.

Got mine last week with the rest of my pc hardware I ordered for new pc.

Coming from a Pentium II 350mhz to AMD XP 1600+.

I have been nothing but amazed thus far, excellent chip.

I'm thinking of getting a new XP with my new motherboard. If I were to get one the 1600+ would be it. Great price/performance ratio.

I use a Athlon 1800+ XP and it runs alot cooler then the T-birds do over 1.0 gig that is..

So XP Processors generally run cooler then their Thunderbird counterparts?

The XP 1800+ runs cooler than the TBird 1.4ghz.. AMD was able to get about a 20% heat reduction from the Tbird to the Palomino.
