I am building a new machine, and I was wondering what the quietest heatsink/fan that I can get is for a 1.333 Oem T-Bird. I would like something that actually keeps it cool though.

Here is the config
AMD T-bird 1.333Ghz OEM
MSI K7 Master
256MB Crucial PC2100
40GB WD Hard Drive 7200
Geforce 2 GTS 32MB
Toshiba 16X DVD
Plextor 12/10/32
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
Chen Ming ATX-601AE w/2 panaflo 80mm L1A's (Same case as the Antec SX1030)
Sparkle 400W power supply

i would say one of the quietest performers (although not the best or quietest) would be the Alpha PAL 6035 with the ystech 27cfm fan...the fan is pretty quiet (especially if you compare it to a delta) and it has decent performance...you might want to check over in the cases/cooling forum...there might be some other opinions already in there

Check out the Taisol CGK760, one of the best heatsinks in the market right now. Pair it up with the Sunnon 60mm, and you'll be cooling your CPU without much noise.

What if I paired that heatsink with a Sanyo Denki 60mm fan. It is rated at 19.1cfm and runs at about 3800rpm.
Do you think this would offer good cooling

Shide1, this Zalman is worth a look. No, it's not the Flower heatsink that most associate w/ Zalman. Rather, it mounts in the four holes adjacent to the socket.

Also, the Taisol CGK-760092 copper bottom unit is a good choice. You can pair it up w/ your choice of 60mm fans, depending on how much cooling you want, and how much noise you're willing to tolerate.

P.S. - No, I don't work for Plycon <g>. And, these sinks can be purchased at sites other than Plycon. Just had good luck w/ them.

Taisol 760 is great. I modded mine to have 2 fans on it so that there was no dead spot in the center of the processor. I also made a potentiometer stick out of the bottom of my case in the front so that I could control the speed of the fans.

It is quiet and cools well.
