New AMD drivers!

Well, didn't see it posted here, so here goes: AMD's latest drivers

They don't have a new driver pack than 1.30, but they have newer AGP miniports for XP/2k/98/ME, along with an IDE upgrade (seems XP/2k only) and " Power Management Setup" (anyone use that?). Install, reboot and post on. I'll do this when I get home.

ok i downloaded it and ran the powerpack and it said that i didnt have any AMD components installed???? WTF i have a athlon xp 1700 strange ugh?

Maybe that's b/c you're running a VIA KT266 motherboard and not an AMD chipset 😀

Damn repost gets it again, but didn't really see that news on here (considering the amount of AMD users, guess not enuff AMD chipset users) or on too many other hardware sites. Its a good heads up for all, and I want to try them at home.

1. About AMD Driver Pack
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AMD Driver Pack provides drivers for motherboards with the AMD-751, AMD-761, or AMD-762 Peripheral Bus Controller (Northbridge) and optionally the AMD-756, AMD-766, or AMD-768 Peripheral Bus Controller (Southbridge).

Windows 95 is no longer supported. All drivers are WHQL Certified. AMD AGP Miniport Driver is not supported in Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0. AMD IDE Bus Master Driver 1.36 is supported only on motherboards with the AMD-756 and AMD-766 Peripheral Bus Controller (Southbridge). AMD IRQ Driver is only supported in Windows 98/98SE.

why would you want this? It would be cool if you could change the name to other things!
