Question New amazing case change - case fans don't work

I got the amazing Asus ProArt PA602 case. Brilliant design.

I simply swapped everything over from an old Fractal Design case, everything works great, except none of the case fans work. They are all connected to the Asus's case fan headers, and then I connected the Asus fan cable it instructed me too onto a sys_fan header on my Gigabyte Aorus B650 elite AX, but not one of the three case fans spin.

I loaded optimized defaults on the mobo and still nada. I've tried all of the three system fan headers on the mobo as well.

Any suggestions?

holy fudge I'm so dumb.

And I looked at that exact diagram in the manual as well, and I just rebuilt this pc in my old case last summer.
