All,

Need a little feedback. I am building a new rig and am trying to keep on a budget. I do not however want to skimp on the motherboard, figuring I will upgrade memory, CPU, later as time / money permit. That being said I wanted an AM3 board to keep current. I plan on buying a Phenom II X3 740 in hopes to unlock. If it doesn't, fine, maybe an X6 later. Gaming is not a priority but a modest overclock would be nice. HDMI in case I want to run a cable to the 50" plasma, and Firewire to download from the video camera. All of these are rated pretty high on the 'Egg, but does anyone have any experience with any of these? I am leaning toward the Gigabyte one, purely based on the price.

I like my M4A78T-E quite a bit, but its obsolete, and has been superceded by the 890GX boards.

I'm also curious about that Gigabyte GA-880 series. I'm thinking of getting one for a mATX build. Anyone have any experience with them?
