new album from The Struts is fantastic if you enjoy when rock was fun

It's called "Young & Dangerous" and apart from maybe one track it's just fantastic. I was worried they'd suffer a sophomore slump with this 2nd album (like many debut albums I loved) but they kept it rolling.

Nice, I'll check them out. I wish the local "alternative rock" radio station would play more stuff like this.

We don't even have an alternative station in my area, just "modern rock". It plays some alternative, including The Struts very rarely, but it generally favors the heavier modern rock. I like heavier stuff too (even metal), but lately I've been burned out on how angry and sad modern rock has become. The Struts have a very familiar sound (pretty sure their singer is the reincarnation of Freddy Mercury) but it's just so damn entertaining.
