Besides the bose wave system...is there anything else i should be looking at that has decent sound? plays CD's, AM/FM, etc

RCA Desktop CD-Clock Radio

It isn't exactly a BOSE wave radio, but I have one and love it. Can record two different alarm times, it plays CR-R/RW's, digital AM/FM, and the best part.. a remote control! Sounds pretty good too and hasn't yet me down for a year now. Jump on it!

Get a cat
Feed it every day when you wake up.
If your alarm fails, Kitty will wake you up

(This is what I do)

QFT. My female cat starts meowing every morning at 5:30AM without fail. To snooze, either me or my wife just let her in the bedroom 😀

I started to respond, but it was useless. But since I won't be the only one now....

For about $100k a year or more, I bet you could find a service that would send over someone to wake you up and put on a CD for you 😉

You are ruining a perfectly good excuse to go to an electronics store to "find an alarm clock" (wink wink)!

Anyway... For features, I suggest that it have dual alarms as you can have one that is always 'normal' and then use the other for those other times where it needs to be set for a different time. That provides the least amount with messing with the "Set" controls.

A battery backup is really good as the power WILL go out just long enough to clear your alarm clock (I am sure there is a Murphy's postulate that states this).

Big numbers. Too little sleep or over indulgence can make smaller displays hard to read when you need them.
