new AIM virus?

You guys gotten this yet, I had 4 friends send this to me. It seems to be a self-propagating virus running of the AIM IM program, Trillian and such doesn't seem to be affected. Anyway, once the user d/ls and runs it, it pops up all your friends and sends a message. It'll say something like this

188k seems like a lot for more than just a self-propagating virus, but that's just me.

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, if you click a link (other than ones with titles talking about hot chicks) without reading the post, and get a virus, you almost deserve it.

thast been out for like 1 year atleast. just dont be dumb and click on random links. although it is mighty tempting 😛
 
i got an AIM virus while ago... it was from a friend who got infected too, and it read "Check our these pics from the party".. ironically we went to a party the night before, and i thought it was really pics... me=owned.. 🙁

I think at least 20 people on my buddy list have this virus and I've gotten 3 calls asking for help already bleh.
 
Been getting messages from one of my friend's brothers with this all night. .Com file = executable = Rambler smart enough not to run it. Just asked my girlfriend if she got any from IM's from him. Nitwit ran it....sigh. Now I'm gonna have to figure out what it's called and clean her pc for her yet again. I'm surprised this is the first time I've seen an instant message propagating virus. Seems like this is a big vulnerability. Gonna see if I can find out what it's called and make sure the helpdesk knows about it at work tomorrow. Guarranteed people have been infected there.

but diff websites... Comcast etc

I just resent it back with the time stamp and I told them it was a virus 🙂
