New advertising ploy

So I get this news paper like column in the mail. Looks like an article someone cut out of the paper, or tore out by hand. Its an article on some guy and his home refinance method. The article says things like how great of a method this is, how no one else is doing it like he is, and all this build up about this guys company. Turns out its not from any paper. Its not even a legit news article. Its simply an ad, on paper that looks like it was ripped out of the news paper and sent to you. The envelope had no return address.
Just an ad, but wants you to think some "friend" sent it because it was such a great thing.
Oh, theres also a yellow sticky on the article saying "try this, it works. And signed just "J".

It fit in the trash nicely...

They are getting more tricky with jumk mail...I have gotten lots of "handwritten" envelopes/letters

I've gotten something like that for at least the past 2 summers. Confused the hell out of me when I first got it, because I actually knew someone with the first initial of 'J' who lived in the general vicinity of the postmark location (IIRC). 😛

Heck, even AMEX sends me things that look like birthday cards every month. Their address is only printed on the back.
