It was about 40 bucks...

You can get Digital Video Essentials for $18 in SD-DVD and $23 in HD-DVD

..ya. they do have that warm fuzzy look.

Different strokes for different folks. Anyone should be happy with that set regardless.

of course, for $2800 I wouldn't have thought twice about getting the Pioneer 5080 instead.... ;)

which reminds me, my local BB now has the 5080 (720p) and the 5010? (1080p) side by side for easy comparison. I know I'm crazy...but I actually preferred the picture on the 720p. I think they must have been calibrated differently or something, but I noticed more issues (jaggies) on the 1080 model. weird...

Payed $2600 shipped for this from Amazon a little while back, great TV, just wish Samsung would email me the firmware update like they said they would!

I can email you the firmware! I saw it for 2699 at amazon shipped, but I just wanted the convenience of returning it if anything happens

Sweet, thanks! But before you go through the trouble, what is the version they sent you and do I have to worry about a revision number of the hardware or anything?

Does anyone know the differences between the "65" series Samsung and the "71" series besides the 120Hz feature of the "71"?

I just checked and it looks like I have to use the 2.x line of firmware for mine (current one is like a 2.002? whatever that shipped with it). But thanks for the offer:(
